Welcome from the dean
On behalf of the School faculty, staff, and students, I would like to welcome you to the School of Innovative Design Engineering (IDE). The IDE has been providing innovative research and quality education in the fields of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering since its foundation in 2009.
Currently the school has three departments: The Department Industrial Engineering and Management Systems in collaboration with Tokyo Institute of Technology (TiTech), Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering in collaboration with Waseda University, and Materials Science and Engineering in association with Kyoto University.
The three departments offer three programs: The Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME) program is concerned with the design, improvement, and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment, energy and money. Those systems include products, manufacturing processes, production systems, service systems and government units and agencies. The Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering (MTR) program integrates mechanical, control, electrical, electronics, and computer engineering synergistically in order to build innovative components and systems to realize functional and smart products. The Material Science and Engineering (MSE) program provides unique and high impact opportunity to its graduates to be involved in many Hi-Tech industries such as Electronics, Energy, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Steel, etc.
You are cordially invited to explore our website and take a closer look at the school programs, curricula, course offerings, and our faculty. We are delighted to welcome you at the School of Innovative Design Engineering. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at email@example.com, for any further information.
